KAROLINA PAWŁOWSKA

Philologist and cultural anthropologist, PhD Candidate at University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań

A Polish anthropologist living in Armenia for many years, who devoted her PhD thesis to the complicated case of Armenian repatriates. She did her internship in UNDPI Armenia and for more than a year cooperated with Armenian think-thank RSC. The results of her study were presented at few international conferences (Warsaw, Tbilisi, Sheffield) and recently published in Anthropological Notebooks.

As a philologist, anthropologist and experienced language teacher she is interested in the ways the culture and the language influence each other. She had the opportunity to teach at the American University in Central Asia (Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan). Currently she works for CIS Armenia and cooperates with Human Doc, a Warsaw-based foundation focused at research and development projects in the post Soviet and Middle East area.
